Guess Who's Touring The SmartHomes?

Scheduled to tour the Bob and Judy Charles SmartHome in Boulder tomorrow are representatives from the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF), including Suzanne Brennan, Barbara Ramsey, Laurel Karabatsos, Kathleen Newberg, and Jed Ziegenhagen. The group will be given information on the history of the origin and philosophy behind establishing the homes, an overview of the technology used inside and outside the homes, how the use of technology helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) live more independently, how the use of technology improves quality of life of individuals with I/DD, and how the use of technology assists the provider in more efficiently providing support.
